Privacy, Security & Trust

Your documents are stored in a decentralized cloud storage system. They are encrypted and split into 80 pieces, which are then distributed across thousands of nodes in multiple regions. To reassemble the file, only a fraction of these pieces is needed, ensuring that there is no single point of failure.

Our platform employs multiple authentication methods to verify the identities of signers. These methods include passcodes, two-factor authentication, and decentralized identity verification. We ensure that only authorized signers can sign the document.

Document Creation

TezSign does not store your documents or the processes in any form. Only the document creator has access to the document. If the creator uses TezSign Secure Share, recipients can access the document via the signing link provided to them.

Secure Share is a feature that ensures your files are stored securely within a decentralized data storage network and are encrypted end-to-end, providing an additional layer of protection. Recipients can conveniently access the shared document by clicking on the link provided in the email.

File Hash Validation
With our File Hash Validation feature, signatories are required to upload the original document file before commencing the signing process. This robust measure ensures that the signatory digitally signs the exact document you initially provided, thereby safeguarding the authenticity, tamper-proof nature, and integrity of the document contents.

DID
A DID provides a unique identifier that can be used to verify a recipient's identity through their MetaMask wallet address. To utilize this feature, the recipient must install the MetaMask wallet, after which their MetaMask address can be shared with the document creator.

IC Blockchain
Through our IC Blockchain feature, transaction histories are recorded on the public IC blockchain, ensuring transparency for public auditing as required. Additionally, sensitive data will be masked to protect privacy.

TezSign has five distinct roles: Approver, Signer, Observer, Witness, and Delegator.

Each role has specific responsibilities and takes individual actions as part of the document signing process:

  • Approver: The individual who reviews and approves the document before it is signed.
  • Signer: The person responsible for signing the document.
  • Observer: The individual who monitors the signing process without participating.
  • Witness: The person who verifies the signing process and attests to its authenticity.
  • Delegator: The person who assigns signing responsibilities to others.

Each role plays a unique part in ensuring the document is properly reviewed, signed, and authenticated.

Please ensure that the email addresses of the added recipients are correct. If a signing order is specified, the document will be sent to each respective individual only when it is their turn to take action. If an email bounces back, the document creator will be notified.

Verify

'Verify Document' is a feature that allows users to check the authenticity and evidence trail of a registered TezSign document. To use this feature, drag and drop a TezSign document into the designated area on the webpage. You can then retrieve information such as evidence of signing and real-time document status.

To verify a signed document, go to the 'Verify Document' tab at the top of this webpage. Drag and drop the TezSign file you received to confirm its authenticity and source.
